LONG CAR RIDES aren't dangerous, but they can be uncomfortable late in
pregnancy. Be sure to take frequent breaks to stretch your legs and
get your circulation going.

SWOLLEN FEET AND ANKLES are common in these last few weeks

. Mild exercise, lots of fluids, and plenty of rest will help. If you
have a very sudden increase in swelling, or if the swelling occurs
in just your hands and face, call your GP or midwife.

YOUR DREAMS are likely to be vivid--even unusual--during pregnancy,
thanks to hormones. You might want to write down your wacky dreams in
a journal.

THINKING ABOUT AN EPISIOTOMY? This procedure, a small surgical
incision performed at birth, "enlarges the vaginal opening so the baby
can be delivered more easily," explains Dr. Elaine Zwelling. Talk to
your GP or midwife about the pros and cons.
