YOUR BABY'S WORLD. "My eyelids are open now. What are all those lights and shadows?" Click here for more on your baby's eyesight and how he perceives his environment. GETTING TOO MUCH ADVICE? Everyone seems to be an "expert" when you're pregnant. Don't feel you need to explain your decisions to others. Simply thank them for their advice. YOUR BABY takes the calcium he needs from your bones if he's not getting it through your diet. Be sure to consume enough calcium for both of you. Dairy products and fortified juices are great choices. DON'T GIVE UP EXERCISE now that you're getting bigger. Regular workouts are still important for your circulation and overall physical and emotional health. Just be sure to avoid overheating: don't work out in hot, humid weather. And drink plenty of water. GOT VITAMINS? Carrots and green vegetables are excellent sources of vitamin A, which is key to your baby's cell growth and red blood cell development. A quarter cup gives you almost an entire day's requirement. TROUBLED BY HEADACHES? "Pregnancy hormones could be to blame," says Dr. Elaine Zwelling. "Get enough sleep, drink plenty of water, and avoid foods or beverages that contain caffeine or those known to trigger headaches," such as red wine, red or preserved meat, and strong cheese. ON THE ROAD. The car seat is the most important piece of equipment for ensuring your child's safety. Invest in a good one, and have it properly installed. DETAILS, DETAILS.
