Does your family cereal contain too much salt for your baby?

Dear Teething Runny,
is there salt hiding in your baby breakfast bowl
If you’ve already started your baby on solids, we hope it’s going well. You probably know lots about first foods by now, but you might be surprised to know that your family breakfast cereal could be hiding added salt.

Babies only need a very small amount of salt in their diet – no more than 1g per day for their first 12 months. Of course, most mums wouldn’t dream of adding salt to their baby’s food, but it’s often added to ready-made foods, including cereals.

If there’s anything you’d like to ask about your baby’s diet and nutrition, feel free to give us a call!
