Back to School - Part Relief, Part Stress

Now that the kids are back in school, it's a great time to re-read my blog, and the article on Homework Tips.  In this article I write about teaching my daughter, Michelle, responsibility for her schoolwork.

Do you have any suggestions for other parents?  Please post your suggestions at the blog and share with the links above.  I hope the school year is starting out great for you.  But if it's not, don't wait!  Get help now. Here are 3 things you can do if your child is struggling:
  • Buy my homework workshop on MP3 and listen - you'll get tons of ideas for making homework time more fun and less of a battle.
  • Hire a tutor - Sometimes the best thing for your relationship with your child is to get someone else to do the helping, that way you get to be a cheerleader and support staff.
  • Talk to your child's teacher - Ask for advice from the teacher on how you can help your child.  You will get good ideas for your child and the teacher will pay closer attention to your child, knowing you care and are involved.

Happy Parenting!
